Space. Often considered a black void, recent science has discovered countless stars, asteroids, planets, and other geologic formations out there. Neither is it completely black: as God said, let there be light, and thus fiery suns and nebulae in brilliant swirling hues dot the never-ending universe. As so often happens, humans were wrong about another perception of the universe as well. They were not alone in their evolution into sentience, and as could be expected the other sentient beings also developed machines, electronic technology, atmospheric vehicles... and what were simply called spaceships. Just as humans would take captive animals to study in labs or, in ancient times, would trap wild beasts in arenas for sport and games, the alien beings similarly developed a penchant for hunting and physical games.
For better or for worse, the aliens tracked their radar signals to a unique planet, called Earth by its minimally advanced population. Intrigued by the ingenuity displayed by the dominant species, the aliens took a random sample from the planet and swiftly fled beyond the edges of the small solar system. The sample group was drugged upon capture. Temporarily blind and deaf, the samples were then dosed further with anesthesia and sedatives, guaranteeing they would remain ignorantly cooperative as they were taken to the pens. Not knowing what was vital to each individual human's survival, the alien captors chose not to remove anything the humans had in their possessions when they had been abducted.
In the upper level of the interstellar vessel "The Pens" are mixed among a confusing pattern of hallways, massive tanks, and almost constant sentry staff. No human is kept within sensory knowledge of another, whether by distance, soundproof walls, or other means. On their own, they have slowly begun to wake from their forced coma-like states, the drugs wearing off in different orders for each of them. One might wake up with no lingering effects, the sedative having faded mercifully last. Another would wake up, numb to any physical touch and half-blind. The aliens, curious and seeking entertainment, have chosen to use this batch of abductees for sport instead of research. They would return for more humans depending on the performance of these ones.
The sentry staff were called away. The waking humans are completely dependent on themselves. None of them knows if there are others, or how many they are, or how long they've been blacked out for. Trapped in an assortment of pens ranging from glass pens to barbaric alloy-barred cells like in a wild west jail, in a clearly alien environment, each of them has only one mission in mind: Survive escaping.

No profile needed, I am trusting you to be at the level to take this seriously and be diverse with your characters. I will be playing the role of the aliens and their ship. Human characters only.
Sometime between now and when the weekend is over I will have added descriptions (simple ones, most likely) of some of the "holding cells" the abducted specimens are currently in.
The Ship is a mystery, its layout, floors, controls, AI, and everything else unknown at the outset so that no one is able to meta. People are free to suggest that, say, a hologram chamber has been found, but it would be overstepping my part as the ship to say what hologram appeared, if the ship's piloting changed (ie, to say the ship landed). Suggest places and I will flesh them out and build upon and around them with objects, beings, et cetera. Finally, this RP will eventually introduce the use of a map -- once you find some form of blueprint on the ship.
If anyone who wants to join has questions please feel free to PM me or ask here.
