Here are the rules that apply to anywhere on the site. Break them and you will be warned, put on probation, kicked, then finally banned. EPIC, Veteran, and Rookie all have their own unique rules as well, so be sure to read those too before posting in the roleplays.
1. English is the official language of Avid Forum. SidusCarmen, the owner and head admin, does not speak or read any other languages and thus cannot know if any rules are being broken.
2. PG-13 unless stated otherwise in the title of the board. Any posts breaking this will be immediately deleted. This rating includes excessively graphic violence as well as sex.
3. Respect your fellow members. If anyone is harassing you, please contact SidusCarmen and let them know. If SC sees anyone being disrespectful or harassing members, they will be warned once then kickbanned.
4. Do not spam or post links to sites that do not link back here.
5. Stay on-topic for the category you are in. SC may notify you (including the reason why) and move the thread if they feel it is in the wrong area.
6. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. This mostly applies to the fandom areas, but also anywhere else you try to sneak it in. This includes character pictures if you choose to use them! Art that is not your own must be credited to the artist or site you got it from.
7. Postscripts are outright banned; font editing beyond emphasis is strongly discouraged. Fancy fonts and postscripts can clutter the board and/or make reading the post difficult.
8. In addition to the site and category rules, whoever starts a topic gets to decide what rules they want, such as if character profiles are needed, a limit on how many people can post, all that stuff.
Rules are not permanent; they can and will change as necessary to keep the forum running as smoothly as possible. Anyone questions about what is and is not acceptable can be asked here in the FAQ area. Thank you
