Four Temples stand at the corners of the known world of Candor, each one dedicated to a different god or goddess. In the Northwest is Hyungshu, the Fire God; Northeast is Halliyia, the Water Goddess; Southwest is Haltgad, the Earth Goddess; Southeast is Hior, the Wind God. A giant marble altar stands in the middle of Thrillian, the capital city of Candor, and every year pilgrimages are made to pay respects to the four gods. However, the four pillars aligned at the corners of the temple have mysteriously cracked and the roof has fallen in, and the statues of the deities have turned to piles of ash, ice crystals, dust, and smoke that doesn't fade. All of Candor is shocked and scared by these strange events, and thus a group of would-be heroes from Thrillian take it upon themselves to band together, travelling to the four corners to find out what has happened and how the altar can be saved.

OOC| When joining, please put your name, gender, race (any fantasy race is allowed, but no vampires, werewolves, or shapeshifters and no playing the gods/goddesses), looks or picture, and powers/skills, and anything else you want.

ooc| Cool picture. You want to go ahead the two of us, or wait for the one or two more people?

I will try to ask my two friends Envy and Dremora Valkyanaz. If they don't want to join, then we can go ahead. We might need to make at least one more character, though.

Standing in the ruins of the temple, a man with a dark cloak covering his face stared grimly at the destroyed pillars. He shook his head sadly. Many other people were there as well, staring around, and several looked to him as if waiting for him to tell them how to magically fix things. He was a dark magician, and a holy man, but he couldn't work that kind of miracle. Obviously something had upset each and all of the four gods. Lord Kanthume walked up to the altar still standing in the center, raising his staff of bones to get the attention of the crowd.

"Fellow citizens, it is clear we must make amends with The Four. I myself will go to the great temples dedicated to each of them to find out what has happened. Who will go with me?" He waited to see if any of Thrillian's people would actually have the courage and faith to go on such a long and uncertain quest, since dealing with gods and goddesses was bound to be dangerous.

One man stepped forward and said, "Lord Kathume, I will join you." This was no ordinary man, however, he did look human. This man was fire weilder of immense power with a sword and intellect to match. He also was an ex-knight but still did 'righteous' things time and time again. This man was also a homunculus so he could heal an instant rate. His name was "Norion Blaze". He thought he was the perfect person to help out Lord Kathume in this journey.

Lord Kanthume nodded, satisfied with this quick answer. The man had the look of a warrior about him. The rest of the town quietly murmurred their approval as well, and seemed to think Norion Blaze was brave enough for all of them. Lord Kanthume sighed, disappointed by Thrillian's lack of bravery. They all wanted answers but most of them weren't willing to do the work needed to get the answers. With his faith, Dreasos prayed that he and Norion would receive extra guidance from the gods for being devoted enough out of thousands of people to go on the quest. He stepped away from the altar and marched up to the volunteer, extending a gloved hand wrapped with black bandages all the way up his arm beneath his sleeve.

"Then you and I will go together. Perhaps along the way we will be able to convince others to join us. I am glad to sense no fear in you unlike from many of these people. I have supplies waiting at the inn next to the city gates. Do you have a horse already?" They could walk, but that would take even longer to travel across the country, and Lord Kanthume's magic would be used up too quickly if they used it to travel large distances, leaving him unable to fight as well since dark magic was his specialty.

"A horse, you say?" Norion asked and pointed to a small device he had in his hand. He threw up, it released a torrent of fire, and a large red and white draron with white teeth apppeared bearing it's fangs at Kathume. "Easy boy. Will a dragon do?"

As the dragon was released the surprised dark magician stepped back, throwing up the hood of his cloak and watching it suspiciously, preparing a spell just in case it wasn't as trained as Norion thought it was. Amazed, Lord Kanthume nodded. "Assuming he agrees to take me with you. Very well then, the first temple is in the icelands of the northwest. We should make that our first stop because I have been to the Fire God's altar before and talked with him, so hopefully he'll agree to help us and tell us anything he knows."

"Okay, and have you ever read a dragon before?" Norion asked as his dragon dug its talons into the ground, spread its wings out, and prepared to fly off to the Icelands pillar. Norion hopped on and gestured with Kanthume to hop on as well.

"Ah, no, I haven't..." he said quietly, watching as Norion climbed on. Uncertain still, he imitated Norion's efforts, assuming the warrior had enough experience with the dragon to know what he was doing even if Kanthume didn't. He was careful not to hit the dragon at all with his staff as he got situated on its back and nodded to Norion that he was as ready as he would be.

Norion got on fastened himself and Kanthume into a saddle made especially for the dragon. The dragon roared with such intensity that it shook Norion and Kanthume's heads. For the first time in that whole moment that they were there, Norion's dragon, Raidon, which Norion mentioned to Kanthume before they took off, did the dragon actually show its feriosity. This is what Kanthume had seen;
